SmartEVO COMPOUND
The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend with 3 different polymers, each of them providing a specific performance while guaranteeing a perfect balance of opposite characteristics: the endless goal for rubber technicians. To complete this project, Pirelli utilized its exceptional experience developed in over a 100 years of Motorsport in addition to implementing our vast cycling expertise, of always performing at the highest level. The in-depth knowledge and chemical expertise has enabled the Pirelli material engineers and chemists to an advanced use of a ternary polymer blend in order to guarantee “smart” behavior characteristic as the base of the outstanding properties of the SmartEVO Compound, resulting in a better grip on dry and wet, while also improving the rolling resistance.
