The FR-7 Freewheel Remover has 12 splines with an outside diameter of 23mm and was originally designed for Falcon® brand freewheels but may fit others with those specific measurements. Heat-treated alloy tool steel one-inch base fits wrench or bench vise. Thin wall construction allows use without removal of cones and locknuts.
- Always use a skewer or axle nut to hold the tool firmly in place during the removal
- Center bore for axle clearance is 10 mm
NOTE:;The shape of the FR-7 looks similar to the FR-1 (for Shimano® Sun Race® Sachs® and similar freewheels). The FR-7 however is made with a slightly larger outside diameter (23mm) to fit the Falcon® Freewheel. To make it easy to distinguish between the two removers the FR-7 has a silver-colored plating. The slightly smaller diameter FR-1.3 is black.
